Wireless Configuration for WIMAX

Wireless Configuration for WIMAX

My previous wireless router settings are for stimix usage.
Now, I am using WIMAX, but after I plugged the network
cable into that router's port, the wireless function does not work.
I have tried to check out certain things by myself, but
I could not figure out what actually goes wrong or
what kinds of settings (in the router) which need to be changed.

Does anyone here know whether we should actually re-configure
the router, so that we can let the internet wireless function
work (on WIMAX)?

I will contact Netgear after this to see if they have any idea.
If you had experienced this before and had already solved it,
kindly share...  Thanks.

Your Netgear is a router or modem-router??
Under normal condition, in the uses of 2 separate device (modem and router as separate unit), the modem will be set to Bridge mode so that the routing function will be performed by the router.

But I don't know about the P1 WIMAX modem. Looking from their setting diagram in the website, it's strange that you can still connect to the WIMAX modem through Ethernet  while itself is connected to another WIFI AP. Or perhaps I've never  uses such setting in my WIFI configuration.

Ah D... I have finally fixed the problem just now...
try out WIMax when there is a coverage in your area next time...
it is extremely  fast...

TM1 result....??

TMNut plus a "special computer" will give you an overated result....

Congratulation on your new service provider, but I doubt I will use it when they come to my place as I'm quite comfortable with TMNut for now.
Plus with my new router, the performance seems to be better than before. (Touch wood...)

This special computer is the only one that consistently give a high value in the speednet test although in reality the surfing is bad......I thought it's due to Vista but my other Vista computer will give a more realistic value compare to  this special one....
