Sorry if this is a double post, I couldn't find any post related to MNP.

I've just ported my prepaid Maxis to prepaid Celcom last sunday, the line was activated on Wednesday (The girl at the dealer booth said the process will take a months, 2 weeks fastest WTW?!)

So far so good, except for yesterday, got a hotlink promotional sms


Any one ported their number? Any issues?

Ported from celcom postpaid to DIGI prepaid, a little problem initially, in the end took 3 days to be ported over..
Celcom got the guts to ask me to port back to them (after porting to DIGI) as i want prepaid, (cannot switch from post paid to prepaid within celcom). I just want to retain my number, doesn't matter where as long as its cheap.

Currently in DIGI, valid for one year, without paying anything. Celcom offered another plan for prepaid, RM 50, valid for 2 years...

Celcom to Digi (Prepaid). Went to 1U DIGI Center on Saturday, Line ported on Monday with 1 year validity.

Looks like many C user has ported to D.

- hhe...hhe... port one Celcom .. 019-5XXX111  .. to DiGi with 365 days validity ...

How does your old provider know you switched?  Will you get 2 bills each month?  For the post paid ones lah .. prepaid never mind.

Once ported, you are no longer attached to the old Telco anymore. You will only receive the last bill from them on any oustanding..thats it.

Hmmmm ..... it still is a risk right?

Year 2, users got to inform the telco company again about
whether they want to stick back to the existing line???
