“The savings on petrol subsidies next year is expected to be more than RM10bil if oil prices remain stable,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby yesterday.

Shahrir said that at US$65 (RM235) per barrel the Government would not be paying subsidies and that the focus now would be on deciding whether to set a floor price or figuring out a way for the Government to get some income from the sale of petrol.

“Even with petrol retailing at RM2 per litre, we are not paying any subsidy. We have actually arrived at a time when the price can return to RM1.92,” he said.

wonder what happen to the subsidies when petrol price in the past when petrol price is below USD 65????!!!!!!!!!!

He has flip-flopped several times too...
the last one should be "...petrol price won't go down below RM1.92..."
days later... he changed his words, telling people that
the cabinet will study about that....

no matter what they do/say, we got to keep on supporting
Pakatan Rakyat... especially those in East Malaysia... make
a very BIG CHANGE in the next election...

RM1 floor price is ok la...but floor price at RM1.92 is way too high...

Last time when rakyat complaint abt toll.. the gohmen said.. our petrol is the lowest.. in the region... SO u save here but u pay there.. overall still saving,,,

soon, not only we have to pay toll, we have to pay for higher petrol as well!!. Not forgetting our car price is almost double the price in thailand!!  REALLY tiew man!!!

Before u know it... you need to pump full tank to go to singapore!!
